Reputation system
Are there any plans to add reputation? For example, I just beat someone up, but after I lose them they don't really care. It would assist with players just brute forcing their way through the murders (as I do) and make people like us actually try to use the game mechanics, rather than knock out anyone who doesn't agree with the investigation

Yeah, plus being able to create your own bureau with storage, a big blackboard, a computer, telephone and all that gaining its own reputation too.
So basically you can become reknown for it.

the social ranks can be used for this system, and give perks if the dev wants to do this. its there just expand on it.

that could be cool, but I don't want my "general" reputation to influence a personal reputation. Like, I don't want to knock someone out and then have them wake up and be like "oh hey, i'll tell you everything because your social status is high!" I want them to have a personal social status, maybe bad-neutral-good based on player actions etc if that makes sense

this could likely be simplified for performance purposes; all civs have a "has been attacked by player" flag, and when attacked, it gets flipped, and they respond accordingly.

I know, but still something I'd like to see if possible! I understand if its not possible due to performance, but currently its very black and white. Its super easy to just beat someone unconscious, cuff them, and then release them and pretend like nothing happened. very easy to gain info that way.

Oh no actually I think that sort of thing would be easy. A single flag detailing which set of dialogue options to use based on if the NPC has been attacked by the player.

I don't imagine that would cause any performance losses. Probably very possible to implement (but I don't know; I didn't make or code this game and it's not like I've decompiled it.)
