Hospital seems to fix... Everything?
Can we have some kind of ironman mode for the game? Right now it seems that if I am in a difficult situation or un-hygenic I can just jump out the window, spawn again, and be on my way. There isn't any real penalty for death in this game. Is there a way to repair this?

Aside from this being non immersive and unfun for me I just dont like the idea of being able to wake up after being shot in the dome with a shotgun

Permadeath mode please

Agree there's something wrong with this. I have potential fines right now of 5200CR but I'm running around with 100CR and I don't really care because I'll respawn at the hospital and be fine?

I don't understand the "fines" in general. I have never once been fined for a crime.

Permadeath fits this game well.

And I'll re-suggest: an additional middle ground would be a difficulty option to have hospital stays last longer, any where from the length of a night's sleep to a full day (can't be too long because the player will have to wait for it to simulate, thus it should be an option).

Other thing is I'm yet to lose a fight against a shotgun using only my fists, seems wrong.

The fines displayed on the HUD while committing crimes are potential fines. They're what you'd get fined if you were caught, but you're only considered caught through getting knocked out, Maybe one day if cameras and witnesses could pin us for some of our past misdeeds, we would feel the fines a bit more.

Tbf to the game there is very clearly extremely advanced medical care even if its expensive.
Definitely think death should be more of a thing, maybe you could lose your character, social credit and leads but you can pick up your old characters most recent info at their home or death site. This way you don't have to regen worlds over and over and can have continuity with setback

You know what, I don't know why I haven't even considered 15th floor windows as a fast travel point before, but that's exactly what they are, aren't they? They even take me back to my house, now.
Should it be changed? Probably, but also this is very funny.

Getting the syncdisk that disabled fall damage makes it so you can smash a window while being chased and just launch yourself out.

I wouldn't risk it personally, considering your fall could result in you glitching straight through the world. Without fall damage, there is no death for doing so, meaning you won't end up in hospital and will endlessly fall until you reload whatever your last save was... hopefully it was before the fall, but I'm betting most people aren't thinking about that when they hiff themselves out a window.

Eh, not a big deal to me. I find it more fun than whatever risk there is

Oh but I do know that you still die if you fall through the world with fall damage disabled. I think the water is a killbox

If dying intentionally kills the fun, then i would recommend not dying intentionally.

Though some setback might definitely be fun to have, like some types evidences which can expire (for example sticky notes and stuff in the trash being destroyed at some point or the culprit getting rid of their weapon eventually). With that in mind it could fast forward the game a few days to cause some of these things to happen.

This could solve the problem of people not being disciplined enough themselves, but wouldn't be too much for those, who doesn't want to loose everything to a bug.

I though dying cost you a % of your total money and they confiscated your stolen items. Until you install the assurance-synk-disk and choose the perk.

Another tip: If you want a permadeath mode before they implement it officially, just stop playing if you die.
