How to tell who's mailbox is who's?

Been requested to return a stolen item to the mailbox of an apartment, but there is no indication of which mailbox I need.

I've tried crouching, hovering over the mailboxes, even opening a few, but to no avail.

I noticed that some buildings have a double lobby, if you enter the first lobby you will find the mailboxes with their numbers, if instead you enter the second lobby of the same building you will see other mailboxes but without numbering.

I don't know if this is intentional or a bug, maybe try to see if there is another entry.

Every mailbox is linked to the fitting appartment (number). That is all there is on information. If you have an appartment adress, you have got it's mailbox, too.

Yes, this user is right. I play the vanilla map and on "Rose" building, there are two entries and the 2nd one does have mailboxes, but they are not labeled like those in the first entrance.
It clearly is a bug.

not every mailbox, some are just mailbox. i even found in my first game i had an apartment for a victim the victims apartment and place of work were nowhere to be found in the mailboxes. victims address was 502. mailboxes had 101-404 then skipped all the way to 1301. place of work was on 9th floor, no mailbox for it either
