##/##/#### formatting will always be confusing, people should avoid it entirely. dd-mmm-yyyy is my personal preference.
I think the dev might be australian???? thats my only guess. i dont actually know and thats not at all a statement of fact
You probably know how its suppose to work already but I can't help but at least try even if it might be for naught~ 1-12:59 are pretty standard, thats AM time. Everything 13 to 24 is pm time, 13 being 1pm and 24 being 12pm. So what I do is I read twelve (if it says its after 12) and then count how many more it is than 12 (Not including minutes), and that'l get you the current hour in pm.
The thing that really broke open 24-hour time for me when I had to use it for work was realizing I could just subtract 2 and it became obvious (easier than telling myself I need to subtract 12):
13:00 - 2 = 11, ends in 1 = 1PM
18:00 - 2 = 16, ends in 6 = 6PM
20:00 - 2 = 18, ends in 8 = 8PM
23:00 - 2 = 21, 20-number ends in 1 = 11PM
24:00 - 2 = 22, 20-number ends in 2 = 12AM midnight, new day
Dunno if that will help anyone but but me, but for some reason this sort of reasoning was what it took for me to very quickly be able to glance and translate the time.
Of course counting back 2 and subtracting 10 is about as easy, whatever works for the particular noggin in question. :)
I see alot in life, and it is still annoying. Hard to get used to when every date I have to double check, just wanted to suggest it. I will even mod it in if tools are available
I am fortunate enough to glance at it and know what time it is, but I didnt realise people had issues with the time, fair enough.
