Sync disk upgrades # 15 and 12 are under whelming

12 is cartographer, get payed 5 or ten for exploring building or ducts. 15 get payed 40 for snapping pictured of certain places. both of these are honestly not worth having, the same goes for the disk that pays out for reading books. jobs pay enough as is, there is no need for these to pay money.

All the pay money upgrades relatively suck because money quickly becomes a non-issue in the game.

exactly. i literally tossed them in the ocean, because there is no reason to them.

The book and "free money every 2 hours" disks were nice when I first started playing, since I found them very early. Once you figure out how to solve crimes, though, money just doesn't have much of a purpose (currently). Food, caffeine, maybe some sync upgrades if I didn't steal enough yet...

even the food drink and other bad perks do nothing, why have them if nothing happens to your charater. cold makes the sreen shake. gross remove that

Drinking cola or coffee increases your running speed significantly for a few minutes. The rest of the buffs/debuffs just affect HP and regeneration, but they're still useful if I get attacked by enforcers, since I'm playing on max difficulty.

running speed does not really need a boost, you get away without the boost as is

I only use the sync disk that gives you money for photographing dirty kitchens/bathrooms because it gives me a reason to take more photos and I love the camera and I will use it at every available opportunity. Snap pictures of people on the street, document crime scenes, whatever mileage I can get out of it is welcome to me.

I've said it before in another thread but most of the sync disks have a "best" pick and the rest of the options are either underwhelming or a new player trap. Trespasser, constitution and community have exactly one good choice each and its faster lock-picking on trespasser and more inventory on the rest. Inventory is a premium stat and bar none the best to upgrade in the game.

I think the money for photos thing is at least decent, the payouts are pretty solid compared to the amount of work so you can make some quick cash if needed (and you don't want to be a thief). The other money disks are definitely underwhelming, upgrades are kinda silly as well since an upgrade is worth 1000cr and it takes a LOT of work to make any of those disks pay out that much. Also I don't think I've ever seen the explorer disk pay out anything. Overall they're clearly something I'd only take for free.

How do you get this to work. I've got the sync disk fully upgraded to take pictures of bathrooms. I raise the camera and take a photo of a bathroom but nothing happens. I can't even pin the photo if I'm not on a case.

You don't need to pin the picture. Just snap a picture of a business' bathroom. Public bathrooms do not count (the bathroom in diners are considered public)

Edit: Note, you need to be in the bathroom. Standing just outside looking in also doesn't count.
