Now sometimes the killer can have absolutely no connection to the victim but it's somewhat rare.
That ended up doing it, and was far less frustrating/tedious than I expected it to be.
If you can get a face from the security camera (can print the image out), you can then question people if they know the person in the picture and they'll give you a name, then you can check if their fingerprints match.
thats a corpo job. Im not sure how to find murder cases.
On side note: when looking for security footage, take a note on any person inside of a building in the moment of a murder. And i mean on every floor and lobby with 1-2 hour range. There is a not zero chance that suspect will be caught on one of the floor or a lobby while they are entering or leaving building. In same case i mentioned before, suspect had green hair, which not many people have, and they appeared only once, briefly in a lobby, about 1 hour before murder.
I'd probably just look into all the receptionists I could find, depending on how many "H."-named people I found in the phonebook.

yeah...will be a long case, only first tab in a phone book have 10 ppl...
check street camera in front of buildings before and after the crime time, print out the photos and focus on those people first. that at least narrows your search down potentially by a lot.
