Little tip to debug your save if you are stuck due to a bug
You might sometimes fall through the floor or a vent and fall who knows where and get stuck in that place. So here is a little help if you get in that situation :
Find your savegame in this folder : C:\Users\WhatheverYourUsernameIs\AppData\LocalLow\ColePowered Games\Shadows of Doubt\Save
Open it with a notepad or a similar tool. Inside that file, search for "playerPos" with Ctrl + F , set the three values, x y and z to 0. It should set your position in the middle of an alley. I only tried on a medium map so it might not work on every map sizes but basically it will set you right on the middle of the map.

seems to not work anymore. got stuck, saw some steam posts saying this would work, but when i opened my save with notepad it was just a bunch of special characters with no "playerpos" coordinates to edit. i opened it with notepad++ as well, same thing.

edit: looked through my old game file and changing position worked on that one. seems to be their change from .sod files to .sodb files.

By default save files are now compressed to save space. You can change this in the options, so Load your game. change the save settings. Save. and open the uncompressed file into a notepad application and make your changes there.
