find the secret document.. i have 2 and still wont finish lol

im very confused which document specifically it wants me to get i went to the place of work it told me to look at and found the person it was asking me to look for and i found the secret document literally on her desk but i also found one in the managers room.

so now i have 2 and the game still wants me to find the secret document so im about to go to her house and see if she has one there aswell.

im so confused if i finished it and need to turn it in somewhere or if i need the one specifically from her/her house

generally the game will tell you if it's the right document as soon as you pick it up.
I also had a case, where a ton of these brown/red secret documents where laying around at an office.
picked up each one till it said it's the correct one, and dropped the others

the "find and steal" document would never complete even if the next "drop at X location" did work..

had to just give it up in the end

the document quests work for me, when I have to drop it next to a red telephone outside. After that, you have to call a number and done.
But I can't finish them, If I have to put the document in a mailbox. Game doesn't recognice it.

Sometimes the assignment will tell you to find X person and steal the document from them, and you'll mostly find it at their job or where they live, you'll even find multiple and none of them will be the correct document.

I had a special case the secret document wasn't with the person the mission assigned me to, but someone else that was affiliated with them, you find those details by searching their emails and crumbled up letters or document at either location where they work or live of the person you were originally assigned to track.

hmm il check that cause this person has a spouse so maybe they are hiding it at the spouses job

ya im convinced they are just bugged for me because every single mission il find the document and itl never update so i can never finish the mission. iv tried 4 different ones at this point and every one had the same issue

as i said that i reloaded a save and now picking it up magically works lmao i dont even know anymore

Just close the case. When you begin to hit dead end and spending to much time for nothing, close the case. You dont have any repercution to do it.

Use the fingerprint scanner of the document to know the owner. Is the only way i found to know.

SO .. Scan the fingerprint on the envellop before taking it. This way you dont mess with any futur quest item (never sure, i have PTSD about that with bethesda and their quest item)

ya idk im convinced it was a bug at this point cause i picked up the same document in the same spot and now it magically made it work lol so i guess if it happens again il just skip it and move on
