Why alter your height?

I got a sync disc that can increase or decrease your height. Why? I guess if you're taller, it'd be easier to enter air ducts that are high up? But I don't see why being shorter would be good?

You are harder to notice when you are lower to the ground. Makes it easier to get covered by furniture and break line of sight. A drawback is that it's harder to access top shelves and look into a drawers.

And when you are too tall, you can't even fit through the doors without crouching. Imo it's just for fun. I've tried booth and i find it's funny when you tower over people. Makes it harder to pick up items either way.

I'm making my detective as short as possible because its funny to imagine a short little guy smoking cigars and crawling through your walls to solve cases

If you grow yourself for 30%, so the disc +1 upgrade you can stand under cameras and reach them directly for sabotage, without having to grab chairs or boxes. Very convenient.

Where are you getting the sync disks? I'd love to alter my height lol. The only one I've had and used was the beautification disk, every other one I randomly see, seems to be an advocacy disk

Dunno if it's a proc gen, but in my world any Sync Clinic has it in stock.

I've gotten most of mine from side jobs, but I've seen one or two on sale at news stands (cartographer, I think it was? not sure if I saw others).

Guess it's proc gen. My sync clinics (both of them) only sell Beauty.

Partially for the lolz. I took that on a now abandoned save and decided to add to my height and then I realized that means crouching to get through doorways. Being taller makes searching higher areas easier, and, I think (I uninstalled that sync disk before then) it could make it easier to get in ceiling air ducts.

What do you mean meta game? If you can't see the benefits of a mechanic, especially in a game like this, then chances are you'll just never interact with it.

Shorter to sneak around easily I think. Taller to reach upper vents easily.
