Do apartment buildings have CCTV recordings?
I've found MicroCrunchers with CCTV logs of shops, but not of apartments. Is there a room somewhere in every apartment building with CCTV recordings?

Usually, yes. The security room for the entire apartment's cameras are typically located on the 7th or 9th floors (door marked by a security cam poster). That said, they still can't record the events of inside rooms, just the floors in general. And sometimes it'll skip floors randomly.

Some apartments don't have this room. I found that my two 5 story apartment complexes do not have this security room.

Is a camera room should replace an apartment?
Is it should look like a power room? With a CCTV Monitor like on the street?

I checked a couple of my highrises now and result is upsetting:
On the ground floor, there are store admin-camera rooms and two apartments.
Then four rooms per floor, up to about the 10th floor.
And at the end, a couple or three floors with three and then a single apartment.
In the basement, only power rooms and illegal businesses.

Okay, I guess I'm just unlucky.
If anyone reading this thread and wondering the same question that I was asking a few hours ago - No, camera rooms don't replace apartments, they supplement them.

I can provide an example of that. This is on the 5th floor.

I have a 14 floor apartment that has NO security room on any floor. It's really pissing me off wasting 40 minutes running up and down looking for one. FML.

Apartment buildings seem to outsource their security operations, look for (something) Management in the directory.

There are multiple types:
- apartments with just residents tend to have them around the 4th floor.
- apartments mixed with businesses tend to have them around 7th floor straight across from the elevator.
- apartments with 2 elevators and different max heights, tend to break and not have any to my knowledge.

I got one on ground floor which very often has staff in it but the one across the road on the 5th floor never seems to be staffed.

Ground floor ones are attached businesses, you can have multiple.
They should remove the signs on those, they are confusing.
