Case Board Organizing Tips
Hey, I'm not good at using my Case Board very well. Does anyone who's really good at Data organization have any good tips on how to place information and when and how to string connections together? I usually use Red on everything too, but I'm curious about optimal use case scenario's for the other colors.

Optimal is to keep everything in the head.

But i usually mark green for locations and relation to locations and blue for evidence. Red for everything else.

things that are connected string together automatically so i just need to put things that connect near each other

Yeah, generally I just vaguely pile things together based on physical location or relationship. Victim's profile next to the body's location, clues in a circle around that, and then make some space between those and other locations (victim/suspect's apartment, work, etc).

In cases where I had a lot of leads, e.g. when I had to find "someone with a partner who does [random office job]", I lined up the profiles of everyone with that job and crossed out non-matching people (with the right-click menu). That way I didn't forget people and re-check them after ruling them out.
