Do you know anything about new ones populating? Sadly and respectfully, I don't think you've really helped answer any of my questions, minus the one and done which you sound unsure of.
i thought the hobbies were only indicators of what you'll find in their apartment? i mean i guess you could try normal stores and see if they sell chess/caligraphy/whatever and if they do, check the ledger
i have never seen a dedicated club building, the only thing i can think of is alcoholism where you might find them near a bar, if it's like that try the book icon store and see if they sell the stuff (pawn shop)
not sure about the apartment thing, i've played my city for quite awhile, enough to get level 7 and 33k credits and put away like 6-8 murderers, but i have not seen a single apartment for sale my entire gameplay in my random generated city
I'm not very far into my game yet (maybe a week or so?), but I haven't noticed any new apartment listings yet.
I also don't think there's a monthly (or weekly, or whatever) fee... I assume there would have been some kind of notification about that when I bought/rented my apartment.
Can't say for sure, though... could be wrong. But that's my best guess for now.
Thanks.
And yeah, knew about furnishings. Pity it's so buggy.
Any idea how things work if/when you move to a new apartment? Does all your stuff get sold? Does it automatically get put in storage? Does it just stay behind, and if so, do you get a discount on your new apartment?
In my case, it just disappeared and wasn't available at the new place. I think that if you move your stuff to storage, it saves that stuff so that when you move into the new place you can just move it from storage to the new place, or, at least that's what I think that's supposed to mean.
So my workaround was simply dropping all my items somewhere, specifically the new apartment, before saving and loading. Granted a patch might've fixed it by now but I doubt it.
Yup, seems new ones do show up.
Just found my old apartment listed, as well as another I hadn't seen before.
I've tried moving things to storage manually, but it just disappeared. Clearly a bug, but even assuming that got fixed, I was wondering if moving apartments "automatically did that for you" by placing all your stuff in storage so you didn't have to do it all one by one.
And if not, I wondered if the value of the stuff you were leaving behind somehow impacted the price of the new place; perhaps you'd get a discount based on the sell value of what you left behind.
Yeah, I really wish everything related to apartments wasn't so buggy.
A safe storage would be great, but as it is, after my limited testing, I'm scared to use it.
Good to know that it apparently works as long as you don't load, though, so it could indeed be used for moving apartments as long as you empty everything out of storage before saving/loading.
Pity that "place" is, in itself, buggy. I've at least noticed that lights you place don't work anymore, but I'm not sure if a reload fixes that... hopefully it does.
I'd worry about something breaking somewhere, though, so would probably rather just sell everything and buy new stuff.
Well... I'm not planning on moving anytime soon...
You not only did not read my post at ALL, you failed to answer my question and necroed this thread....
