How to identify someone only by fingerprint?
Accepted a side mission and the only thing I got to go on was their fingerprint. Does anyone know how to go about doing it? Would be ideal if you could search via fingerprint at the Govt database.

You can't search by the fingerprint. I am sure you've been given more information than that.

What type of job is that? Theft and Vandalism jobs that are given to you in person often related to informant. Ask them questions, take their photo, find more about them. Check their apartment building for anyone matching your suspect or at their workplace.

Or you can just ditch the job and take another one. No judging.

The best way I know of mass-harvesting fingerprint data is to find the records at businesses. That really only works if your target works, though. So, if you have a vandalism job or something else, you may need to investigate your employer and find who it might be through their connections. For vandalism jobs, especially, the target often lives in the same building as the employer. In that case, scanning doors in their building will lead you to your answer.

It's an arrest job, it also gave me the occupation but it said None so I couldn't even look for the business and get fingerprints that way and their face was unknown, no chance of asking anybody. Must just be a bug so will more than likely have to ditch it!

If they have none occupation you can try checking with the homeless population.

I would just abandon it. Arest jobs pay well, but if you don't roll good leads, it's a done deal.

That's actually a good shout. Didn't think to do that but will definitely try it next time!

I had similar arrest job.

Best way I found was just go building to building and scan doors for prints until I found them. Everybody's gotta live somewhere...

(I think?)
