So how do you do this? It was easy to figure out who I needed to arrest for the side job because he's the only person that lives on the floor of that building, which was the clue I was given, but I found him at his work and arrested him and the job didn't update so apparently I need to fully identify somehow.

click the field and type his name, or pin his actual inspection sheet (rclick inspect him) and press 'select' before clicking on his pinned character

you can also open his sheet by clicking on his name on a document that lets you click it

if you arrested him first, i don't think it'll visually update that you arrested them, but you can turn it in and if he's the right guy it'll checkmark it during case processing
