Loving the game, but it REALLY needs a brightness/gamma slider.

Been playing the game a bunch and it's obvious this is an early-access title in many ways, but it's still been a really really enjoyable experience. I truly love it, but with that said it desperately needs some more fleshed out graphical options and optimizations, which I'm sure you are at least somewhat aware of. For me though, right now a lot of the light sources are just WAY too bright, especially the various desk lamps throughout the game I can't even look in their direction without being blinded by an overwhelmingly bright ball of light. Definitely needs tweaking, especially customization as not everyone has the same monitor or same quality of monitor or visual preferences. Again I love the game, but right now the brights are TOO bright.

I agree wholeheartedly. I just bought the game but I keep getting super disoriented, doesn't help that the flashlight is so extremely narrow either.

Debating whether or not I'll be able to play without giving myself a headache every time.

I've also got an older type of computer monitor that has a much darker Gama than other ones. I get that the devs might be thinking the game is meant to be played dark, but its so much darker on my screen already, with screen settings optimized that it really necessitates the need for customization.

I really don't want to have to mod my game just for this reason.
