Your best bet is to have the mission on the backburner, do other stuff, and maybe randomly eventually you stumble upon the correct finger prints.
I can't say it'll always be in the same building... but it certainly beats scanning the phone book for every person who's name starts with an L, Breaking into each of their houses to find their birth certificate to confirm who's got which blood type, then trashing the correct place. (I had 32 Ls and I lucked out on my 6th who was last in the building)

This is less intensive that walking around all over the place if you're not sure where the target location is. It's best utilised when you have a 1st initial, which can then be searched in the Government database using that initial and vowel string searches as noted above.
Sometimes you'll just get lucky and find what you're looking for right away. Significantly reduces case time.

This is best done by breaking into the Upsilon Enforcer offices on the 1st floor early on in the game and getting the code to operate the cruncher in their reception area which is not a trespass zone. It's like your own office at city hall...except some guy will keep coming in and turning the lights out on you.
