Are newly bought apartment lights (ceiling lights) broken?

Not sure if this is a bug or not, when I bought my new apartment and replaced the ceiling light, I was unable to find a way to get the light switches to work with it, even new ones.

Awesome, I've made a bug report with a save file if needed.

I've additionally discovered that sold lights and switches in an apartment will respawn after saving and reloading.

Yeah I bought a light stand and it worked fine but then I moved it and it stopped working. The decor UI keeps bugging out after a bit of use, then X no longer opens inventory. The UI bugs are the most annoying as you have to restart to get it working again.

Also there swems to be a problem with the green desk lamp. When you buy it, it spawns upside down. When you place it is just falls down :). Also cannot be turned on.

And yeah there is a bug with buying, not sure what triggers it at the moment, but you buy things and at one point you have the place and cancel buttons, but nothing to place or cancel. As if the item no longer available to place. e.g. when you buy a lamp and place it, the game spawns a new one to place or cancel, but the new one does not appear so you've left with only the buttons. Save reload fixes it, but not consistently.

YES! Happened with the normal lamp variant as well. My desk needs a lamp ASAP!

Saving and reloading should fix it, incase you were restarting the entire game.

Similar issue occurs but when moving items already placed in the room, you can move all the items around, but then you are locked out of a lot of interactions and cannot buy new furniture until you reload.

Same issue here... I had a ceiling lamp that wouldn't stop flashing in my new apartment, so I removed it and bought a new one, and it won't work... So I have to spam wall lamps for now.

Available apartments are randomly posted on job boards, at city hall, the diners, bars, restaurants, etc.

Go to a place you can eat like a bar/diner and check the pin board by the public telephone. Some will have apartments for sale. If not, try another or maybe do some jobs and wait a while.
