New apartment bugged

After completing the first case i get a key to Novak Basement 03. It doesn't open any basement apartments at all.

I can't tell if i even have the key or not, as the keys don't seem to show in an inventory system.

I have tried earlier saves with no success. Some making it worse and introducing more bugs.

Has anyone else had this issue. I really don't want to restart the game. Very annoyed.

Go down one more level. If you got the same issue like me the actual basement is probably one more level below you

I have the same issue, I don't know what to do. I've been stuck here for 45min, loading earlier saves, re-talking to mrs. Gallagher, etc. Nothing seems to work...

The apartment is indeed on the 1st level, I've entered it 3-4 times but everytime is by tresspassing, there's no other way. Entering it doesn't do anything. Plus, the level below is flooded. lol (It REALLY seems bugged to me)

same for me - basement floor 3 completely inaccessible.

Same here. No ID on the door. I had to break in and get the ID that it was the right apartment just by aiming at the bathroom door. So, yes, I got to the right apartment (#3) in the G1 floor. But I have no key, I'm trespassing and the objective doesn't move forward with the game.

Is there more to this game mode anyway? Should we just abandon it and play the 'free mode'?

So I had this issue, but it was because I had started a new case. When I clicked back on the original case, the option to talk to the lady was still not crossed off, so went back, talked to her and then wandered to the basement and it unlocked the door no problem.

I had this issue when I de-selected the case. If I opened the case back up and talked to the lady again it worked for me.

Make sure you have the correct case selected in your F board to get credit.

But tutorial pretty much ends there anyway, just gives you the clue that you can do sidejobs after that and lets you freeplay.

On your case board, there is a button in the upper left to open the map. On the map there is a button to bring up your current home address. You can use that to get led straight to the correct door.

If you don't look at the doorknob you can't unlock the door.
