Walking speed extremely slow

I just loaded into my first world and I got up from the bed and it feels like I'm walking through quick sand. The speed of the walking is excruciatingly slow. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this?

His walking speed is much faster than mine. Mines about half the speed of this and it's really hard to play currently. I can't see any control in the options to toggle walking speed or anything like this. Could it be tied to FPS maybe? I currently have my FPS unlocked in the options.

Seems like if you lock it to 60fps, the walking speed is fixed.

That's a shame if that's the case, I'll try that and see if it works for me.

I can confirm that as Zmetz6 said, it seems as if you go higher than a 60 FPS frame cap it affects the walking speed. I'm going to be submitting an in-game bug report for this so hopefully, it gets fixed soon. If anyone else has the same issue, report the bug in-game too so it gets more eyes on this issue.

Yeah this is a strange but known bug. We will hopefully be able to implement a fix for it shortly

Hey, I tested a bit. It is tied to the FPS, if I lock it to 60 FPS I'm walking at normal speed, if I unlock FPS and disable Vsync, I'm having around 130 FPS indoors, and I'm going fast as a snail. So lock it at 60 FPS I suggest for now.

Didn't see this issue on the release build and after applying the patch I'm seeing the issue occur. I kept an eye out on the FPS but a high FPS didn't automatically translate to a higher movement speed.

No weirdly it is the other way around, higher FPS > slower movement!
