Telephone booths

I've been playing the game for a little while, and after getting a side job for one of those envelopes, and decided to find the caller for more information. However, I was only able to call them in a telephone booth. They said something like "At exactly 9:21 the telephone booth on diabate street will ring. pick it up". I'm not sure if there's a way to check calls on telephone booths, since I can't find a router. any suggestions?

The street telephones doesn't have a router afaik, so you've to do it a littlebit different. First retreive the number of the last caller from said telephone booth and then just call that number from another phone where you know, that it has a phone router (like from a diner or your apartment). Though i wouldn't be surprised, if it is the same number you had to call to get the next calling location.

The phone numbers listed on the job flyer itself are dead ends and don't actually connect to anything, they just exist for the purpose of the job.

However, when they call the payphone you're supposed to run and pick up, that uses a different number which is an actual number associated with a location. So for that one you can use 541-0000 and go through the method Maya-Neko outlined (although I've never seen the telephone router for a diner, just apartment buildings)

They're in a small building in the backyard of the diner plot.
