Delete Footage?
I'm trying to grab the footage between the times when the victim was murdered, but the footage has literally 1 minute after the murder was done at the latest. So the latest was 18:45, the footage only has 18:46 and onward. Can suspects delete footage? Is that a thing?

Cameras are not infallible. (How? Not sure, maybe perp moved too fast for camera's motion detector to kick in in time). Try different cameras on the same floor, or even those on the floors above and beyond, especially those who have a stairwell in their visibility zone, given than citizens are never use elevators this approach might be of use.

There are instances when the murderer will delete the footage you're looking for.
I highly recommend going through some of these discussions for techniques and some of the other instances that are known to be features and not bugs (because it's hard to tell at this juncture). If you see a title that's asking for help from around the beginning of July, end of May, it'll most likely have a lot of solid info. The time you take gong through comments will save you a lot of frustration.

Yeah, in one of my cases, I went on a merry goose chase trying to find evidence of a murderer with a camera right by the crime scene's door and it didn't catch them. However, cameras on other floors did allow me to finally narrow things down, and are worth checking around the time of the murder.

Spoiler for one of the reasons this happens: murderers sprint at maximum speed on the shortest path to their victim, and can zoom past cameras at an alarming pace. On the way out, they may be at the end of their exit sprint, which can fool cameras placed right by a door or in awkward angles in their panning rotation.

There's also a special case in which camera evidence seems to generate only after your character spawns into the city for the first time, though the game seems to simulate events that happened prior. Seems like camera feeds start rolling after around 6PM or so on Jan 2nd, which might be the issue here, not sure. It isn't typically a problem, but it can come up if you're solving a very early murder or side job reliant on evidence the game hasn't generated yet.
