Got stuck on "open evidence window by inspecting mugshot"

Actually I'm pretty sure you have to hit F. Left clicking just clicks the cursor on the screen. I got stuck here for a minute too.

The CCTV part in the dinner had some strange parts. Played in a random generated city. The victims bill from the dinner (found in his flat) was labeled at 22:45 but I found the CCTV evidence just at ~23:50. He wasnt there at 22:45.

Sometimes the tutorial wants something else than player has to do. Also I checked the table and found a note, but tutorial do not continue and still wants me to check dinner table.

this happened to me as well. Not only that, but the person in question was clearly standing in front of the register at that time and no footage of him sitting at a table existed in my playthrough

Same issue for me. It says to click victim's mugshot, but she isn't there at that time in the diner. couldn't find her at any time. Despite the tutorial saying I just had. Glad to know it is just a bug.

You need to find who was with him during dinner but not with camera footage but through payments.

what is the solution to this?? im literally about to completely quit the game, I have done every possible thing I can think of and can't get passed this point. I cannot even describe how frustrating this is... left clicking "on the persons face" (WHO'S FACE???? Left clicking on victims face in cctv does nothing, pressing f to inspect with their window open does nothing) this does nothing, dev seriously please explain or im going to try and get a refund. It keeps saying that the victim is sitting with someone but he isnt, the only other people in frame are waiters. there's no one else there, how am i supposed to get past this... do i have to start over is this a bug? wth!

Found this thread while Googling this issue. Also stuck here.

Clicking on the person's face does open a 2nd window to "Toggle flag on footage" and "Back", but clicking on their picture in this screen does nothing. My game settings are as default as possible - default tutorial map, default mystery (Onni Jonsson), etc.

Looks like TGWeaver is correct - you don't click on the image, you press F and their image will appear in your casebook, ready to be pinned, but it still doesn't satisfy the objective for "Open an evidence window by inspecting their mugshot", so this is still bugged.

For those who are stuck on this bug, the game wants you to inspect both the person you're investigating, and whoever they are sitting with, even though it only says to inspect the person of interest.
