Multiplayer/Co-op?
This looks like a game to enjoy with friends, is there a plan to do a co-op story?

It'd be kinda great though if you had a mister x type of game mode, 3 detectives, 1 murderer
and before they can kill someone they have to do preparations, like find a good location to kill them, etc.

But tbh, MP would be probably a bit out of scope and I'm hyped anyways :D

looks fun but honestly i am getting annoyed how there is a lack of good games with co-op systems. And I mean full co-op main missions the whole 9 yards--Other games are repetitive and get stale quick. I don't like this anti-co-op gaming industry we're being pulled into.

It's kinda weird to fault this game for not having a coop mode though

I think it'd be very cool to not just play an investigator but have a whole department of people, but that's just a different gameplay vision than this game currently has

A DND style game, with a "mastermind crime lord" (dungeon master), drawing out the story as the detectives do their best to outwit, and out-maneuver, to solve the cases that the DM draws up. That could be a pretty cool game in the right hands.

Sadly that would be too complex to program, that's why we still play D&D and similar pen and paper RPGS

Eh no? Theres nothing "great" about that! He literally just described ANY tabletop RPG played at either a physical- or virtual tabletop. *facepalm*
(TTRPGs are great, tough)

Why couldn't that be great? We know it's basically a TTRPG, but with crime/detective motif? Those aren't exactly dime a dozen... Most TTRPGs are fantasy, or at best, cyberpunk, which lends itself to crime solving, but isn't exactly "detective" oriented...

I think a coop, noir style, detective game could be really cool though.. Even if it was more catered instead of directed like a TTRPG. Detectives usually work in pairs or teams... Could be very cool to have characters with different roles and skills, investigating crimes like serial murderer... Think like, True Detective meets L4D (without the zombies / hordes). Something like "we were here" maybe, but less puzzly and more mystery / clue finding. Seeing if you can deduce what happened.. Could be a lot of fun IMO. Especially if it was moddable, and people could add their own mysteries, or maybe some level of procedural generation to levels, names, and items and stuff.. Obviously just tossing around ideas..

You know that most games are just a stricter more styled version of a TTRPG but they're still fun because someone added good UX to it
