has a playable necromancers&liches classes and playable zombies wights corpses skeletons and ghosts races
The first undead horde is decent, but the sequel that's marked as "coming soon" looks awesome. Definitely would recommend holding out for that.
There's also "The Necromancer's Tale," which just released a demo
On the ARPG Front, 2 more options with Necromancers are Titan's Quest and Din's Curse. Titan's quest is fairly old, but has quite a bit of content if you get into it. Din's Curse is a rather janky Indie ARPG, but there's a decent amount of depth and customization if you take the time to learn it.
Elder Scrolls Online has a 'Necromancer' class you can start off with if you buy the proper DLC. Although it's more of a Necromancer themed dark mage. Still can be fun if you want an MMO experience.
Dragon Age 2 has a Necromancer magic tree you can go through.
Drawf Fortress in adventure mode is probably the game with the most mechanical depth, but it can be very difficult to even get into.
A easier GUI is in progress for Dwarf fortress

It looks interesting, but is it true, that the whole community is just bunch of a-holes?
I like this kind of Necromancer as well... The reaper type. I actually main a Power Reaper in gw2. Any more games like this?
That's my #1 pick. 10ton is actually working on Undead Horde 2 currently.
KeeperRL - One of my favorite classes in the game is the Necromancer.
OddRealm - IDK- this could be questioned, but the race called the ancients are the text book definition of LIch's.
Someone mentioned Arcanum, and, as I've been playing that one on and off for decades now, I have to agree. In fact even if the game is pretty open in terms of what character you can build (not saying the mechanics of the game back this statement up) , rolling with someone who is at least a bit of a necromancer is ideal if you prefer direct ways to deal with sentient barriers... Why worry about doing a fetch quest for someone when you can shove a pistol in their face, kill them to death and call their soul from their body and force the answer out of them?
Also, TES games can deal with Necromancy/allow you to build a Necromancer, maybe not in name, but, I mean, the enchantment system deals with capturing souls with a soul bind spell, imprisoning the soul into a gem, and either feeding the soul to a soul hungry enchanted item to restore charges, or, imprisoning and enslaving the soul to be such an item. The games gloss over that it's still Necromancy to enchant things even if you're not using one of the commonly accepted "sentient" species. I mean, hell, in Morrowind I captured a Grand Soul specifically to call Golden Saints who then got beat to death by Umbra and then became imprisoned in Asura's Stone (reusable Grand Soul gem) so that I could have an easy and renewable supply of high quality souls. I could call them forth specifically to fight for me if I want. In Skyrim it gets even more absurd/blatant because there's a standing stone devoted specifically to rezing the dead to fight for you, you can even make that more or less permanent and roll across the map with a horde of those you've slain if you bind that stone to a piece of gear that lets you spam the ability infinitely. The Spiffing Brit has a video about that build, and, it's in the base game, no mods required.
Skyrim
Diablo series (including the upcoming Diablo 4)
Last Epoch
Grim Dawn
Final Fantasy XIV (Reaper job)
Guild Wars 2 (this necromancer is kinda disappointing)
Elder Scrolls Online (another disappointing necromancer)
Total War Warhammer series (Vampire Counts faction - The Barrow legions subfaction)
The "Disciples" saga has an undead faction.
Age of Conan has a necromancer (this one is pretty good)
Wolcen
Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous (Lich mythic path)
Pathfinder Kingmaker
Dragon Age Inquisition
Baldur's Gate 3 will have a necromancer (not at this time though, it's in early access).
Iratus
Two Worlds II has a nice necromancy option.
Pillars of Eternity
Stellaris - necroids faction
Some Heroes of Might & Magic games have undead faction.
Pillars of Eternity - Deadfire has necromancy options.
Unferat is a top down game about being a Necromancer/Witch/Warlock attacking a village that killed their father. It's a bit on the casual side and isn't about having a horde of 50 skeletons messing stuff up, but is very much a necromancer game.
