Unexpected error (13:6)

Just installed The Chronicles of Riddict: Assault on Dark Athena and when I try to play the game I get this error "Unexpected error (13:6)". This is on the activation screen, I entered my CD Key exactly as STEAM says my CD Key is. Has anyone had this same problem?

I used tools available to anyone that are made from particular groups out on the internet. The problem is not a Steam issue. It's only a T@ges issue. Once fixed via removal the game plays fine.

steps i used to solve this problem:
1. install the official patch here:
http://games.softpedia.com/progDownload/The-Chronicles-of-Riddick-Assault-on-Dark-Athena-Patch-Download-38827.html

2. install Tages drivers here:
http://www.tagesprotection.com/main.htm?page=minimum.htm

That's it!

THANK U TOMMYKNOCKER Very Much... I have the P.C. - C.D. and the Downloaded Driver Worked the 1st Time too my Suprise.. was a very easy fix on Win.7... Afterwords it actually had The Key- Code Box Open, Luckily i have got the Key Code: from behind the 1st page of the Manual. "In It's Original Case"

Yep, I can confirm. Only instaling an update to Tages solved the issue.

This broken old TAGES software you don't want on your gaming PC what so ever. It sucks, because it's a great game, but old DRM crap can give issues on Win8/10. TAGES doesn't exactly have a great reputation.

Just do a google search about TAGES to see. tages+drm+review

That webpage is 404'd. I just installed CoR and rec'd the 13:6 error on Win 10

This f u c k i n g DRM needs to be exterminated. Super tired of buying games that I cant even play because piracy. If Im having trouble making it work, its because the software is flat out not going to no matter what these directions suggest without a crack, which all of them ive tried have viruses in them, which begs the question, why the f u c k isnt it possible to surgically remove the f u c k e r y automatically if you can detect the offending pattern?
