The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

1920 x 1080 Widescreen Resolution
Tried everything to get this to work properly on my MSi 290 at 1920 x 1080 [120Hz]. Does anyone have a work around apart from the usual compatibility stuff, changing the resolution manually in 'Environment.cfg', cracked .exe's etc.?

I'm dieing to play this game as it's such an underrated and it's probably the best movie/game tie-in ever made.

Hi i've actually managed to get it working for Escape from Butcher Bay. I'm assuming it'll also work for Assault on Dark Athena but I haven't tried it yet myself.

What i've done is the following...

  • Start the game and turn all your in-game settings up.

  • Enable 'View Hidden Folders' in Windows then navigate to AppData -> Local -> Atari -> The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena -> Environment. In there you'll need to change the 'VID_DWIDTH' & 'VID_DHEIGHT' to your monitors full screen value. Mine is 1920x1080 so it says VID_DWIDTH=1920 and VID_DHEIGHT=1080.

  • Download a programme called Fullscreensizer [runtimelegend.com]. You don't have to install this programme, just double-click it and it'll run.

  • Run Fullscreensizer and start your game. When you get to the main menu, tab out and re-fresh Fullscreensizer, you should see Riddick running. Simply select Riddick from the list and click 'Fullscreensize' and you should be set.

Hopefully this helps. It's such a shame that this great game hasn't received the love and attention it should have. Hopefully one day someone would be able to figure out a proper fix for it.

thanks.
