2025 - Make your Steam version functional! "GOG Fix" READ!

So after toying the last several days of trying to find a solution for getting the Steam version to freshly activate currently, I gave up. The "GOG fix" definitely works flawlessly however but finding the necessary files and/or someone that owned the GOG version I could snag them from proved a pain in the @$$, but alas, I finally got them.

Once you have downloaded and installed Riddick from your Steam library, launch it and let it attempt to, and fail activation.

Navigate to your install directory for Riddick. Inside is a folder called "System" and next level deep a folder called "Win32_x86". Delete that folder entirely and replace it with the one in this download (after extracting the archive of course). Close out everything and launch. Works flawlessly! Enjoy!

Thanks man! Just wanted to play this game after years and stupid Tages protection garbage was preventing me from enjoying a game I paid for. Valve should have a policy where all protections have to be removed after X years after release or when company that made it goes out of business and they should make such patch when they publish the game. So Valve can patch it with that even if company doesn't exist anymore. And that should be the rule to even allow you publish a game. Nothing more infuriating than having to find a crack for a game you bought. WTF!?

Why not upload the file to MEGA and share from there? It's a legit storage service that's free. I put the file in a folder there in July 2022 in case you stopped uploading it, and it hasn't been flagged as a virus. I have logged out and downloaded it to my PC and my phone to test and I never have an issue. https://mega.nz/

I just want to say a huge thank you!

I wish I'd of bought this game on GOG while they had it. Sadly they removed the game from their library in 2017.

I went through some uncomfortable methods to get this game working. Messing with downloads from other sites and even trying to get TAGES to work. When I did get TAGES to work it still wanted me to input a cd-key.

Thanks to you I was able to delete what I had acquired from the internet to try and get this game working again.

STEAM either needs to go into their storage system where this game is and implement the same method GOG used to make this game DRM free or completely wipe it from their servers.

Yeah worked straight up. Only annoying thing is the mouse acceleration but meh that's not an issue. Excellent work
