Any reason why people don't just get the GOG version of the game? While you obviously can't buy it there it's not exactly hard to find the installer and it's certainly abandonware at this point.

It's like the only resort since Tages has its DRM floating in the wild and steam isn't doing anything about it for people who previously bought the game here.

It's not like Valve can just edit out the DRM and the version of Atari that published it is long since dead. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of those situations where nobody knows who the hell actually owns the rights to the game. That and the fact that Starbreeze is also dead as a Norwegian Blue means there's few moral reasons not to "steal" the game.
Just checked and there's still an active torrent of the latest GOG version over on that bay that has pirates.
