So that lines up with what I'm expereincing. However, this guy >>

Well, he won't repond to my questions on how he did it without the distortion, so I'm wondering if his video really isn't in 4K. Frustating to see this group post all these 4k videos and not be willing to help people achieve it. I mean, what's the point? I've spent $30 more or less on an 11 year old game, buying two different copies to get where I am and now I've hit a wall. :) Oh well.
Games like this and VTM are worth the trouble their good games, that is rare for us gamers to ever get good games.
The SDK is here: http://www.moddb.com/engines/ogier/downloads/riddick-gdk-version-102
I also had trouble getting Dark Athena version to go to 4k settings...I have a GTX 1070Ti
The steps to do this were:
1. Go to the properties of "DarkAthena.exe", starting in the game's root folder then to "System" and then "Win32_x86" where it will be located.
2. Go to the "Compatability" tab in the executable's properties window.
3. Click on "Change high DPI settings"
4. Under "High DPI scaling override" check the box for "Override high DPI scaling behaivor. Scaling performed by:"
5. Make sure the box underneath is set to "Application"
6. Press ok/apply on the properties windows
The result is a much more native 4k looking image, before the game looked blurry despite supposedly running at 4k, but now it looks much cleaner and the issue seems to be resolved completely.
This is for Assault On Dark Athena. While under said game in the discussion forum the op is about the original Developers Cut from 2004. Just made a thread at PCGW about the issue in question: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Talk:The_Chronicles_of_Riddick:_Escape_from_Butcher_Bay
Hi did you ever get this to display correctly as ive now just discovered the exact same issue at 4k where it looks Wonky and i now need it sorting out if you can help ?
