VR is not working on EGS
I have the EGS version of Operencia: The Stolen Sun (which I bought prior to the Steam release). I got a huge 12-13 GB update this afternoon. It's on version 1.3.3. I have tested on Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. I don't see any VR option at startup nor at the launch options for the game (like Tetris Effect).

I have tried starting Steam VR first. No difference.

F:\Epic Games\Operencia\Operencia_VR\Operencia\Binaries\Win64

just find where your Operencia folder is at, and then follow everything after that.

Same here.

Just found this on Reddit.

"Classic dungeon crawling powered by VR! #Operencia: The Stolen Sun is coming soon to Oculus Rift, PSVR and Steam VR. Wait, it gets better: if you own the game already on Steam or PlayStation, you'll get it as a free update!

Of course, Epic could well be added in the future, especially seeing as we know Tetris Effect on the EGS utilised Steam VR - but imagine a dev/publisher taking the money-hat, not just for one but TWO of their games, and then announcing your free update for Steam users (release: March 2020) but not for Epic (release: March 2019)."

Every time - Epic is crappy.

Hi guys, Epic version is supposed to arrive today!

We are looking into the VR launch option being visible. In the meanwhile, if you try to go into the folder where your Epic games are, the game should start from the directory.

Thanks for the post!

Damn, I just bought this on Steam, after reading on Reddit that it would not be coming to Epic until later, if at all . I wish had waited 10 minutes!
Still, so glad you are bringing this to VR, I am ok with it, and frankly I would rather have it on Steam than the crappy Epic store.

Oh yeah :steamfacepalm:

Dead right!
Problem is, I really wanted this game when it was released - it really scratched the old 'Dungeon Master' itch for me. But yeah, you are 100% right!

It wouldn't matter if Epic had their own forums or not, people in large part still gravitate to the Steam forums. Take GOG forums for example, the game forums have very little life in them, but GOG users tend to use Steam forums instead of GOG forums.

Steam forums have become the general gaming forums in PC gaming, and people use the Steam forums regardless of where they bought the game.

So quit complaining about it, let it go, and move along.

I still think it is a valid point. Why support an inferior platform?

Because we supported the devs before the game came on Steam perhaps?

When I am playing a game, the platform I bought it on doesn't even matter. I am a PC gamer playing PC games, I am not a Store gamer playing games to level up my store profile/achievement count/level

You guys make valid points too - damn, now I am confused :-/

You guys just need to figure out how Tetris Effect developers were able to do this

There are choices for different launch options.
