Reset Controller Due to Nintendo Switch Pro Controller's Inverted Confirm/Cancel Inputs

Hi - When I first played this game I identified my controller as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. For that controller "B" is confirm and "A" is to cancel (as per how Nintendo games work). This is confusing since I am used to "A" being confirm and "B" to cancel.

Unfortunately the game permanently thinks I am using a Switch controller even when I am not, so the Confirm/Cancel mappings are permanently set. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but I am not allowed to re-identify the controller.

Can someone assist me in being able to reset either the controller config or the game itself (as in a true uninstall)? Thanks.
