Similar games to SoR4?

I'm sure there was a post like this in the past but I couldn't find any. Does anybody know if something similar is on the market or at least in development. I've seen many lists on google with things like " 20/30/50 games like SoR4" and 90% of this lists are games that in my opinion are a completely different genre. Beat em up is too broad of a term. I'm looking for things exactly like SoR 4, which means games with modern graphics, cool stylized art style and gameplay that feels true to the old arcade side scrolling beat em ups but with nice quality of life improvements. I've seen the trailer for the new TMNT game with Dotemu as a publisher. It seems nice but I'm not into the pixel art style.
The only thing I have found that looks similar is Mayhem Brawler.
Do you know any other titles?

Unfortunately you are right. But I don't think everyone wants to make friends with MAME and would still have the opportunity to get into the game here.

One of the best beat em ups is on PS3/4 - Dragon's Crown. Maybe it will come to PC some day or an emu near you.

River City girls is an amazing beat em up and they JUST announced the second game. I highly recommend. I think the combos in this game are far more satisfying, but River City Girls is still a ton of fun with friend.

Oh yes i love this game. it's one of my all-time favorites.
And it was also a lot of fun to get it to 100%.

Yes there will be a River City Girls 2 and another game called River City Girls Zero. This game will be a localization of Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka. I look forward to both like a little child.

Since 2016, Vanillaware have been thinking about porting their game to PC through Atlus.
But, I think they won't do anything.

Dragon's Crown crossplay would kill it. Especially if they improve some of the slow flow of some parts and some RPG aspects (looting, fixing, etc.) and why not, add some contents, new mechanics or else (Just to say that Dragon's Crown offered more content at release than SOR4 could...and the next SOR4 DLC is somehow very similar to the Tower of Mirage mode)

But then, the game went under fire for some of the chara design in 2013 and 2015...I can imagine nowadays

Sadly! Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Muramasa: The Demon Sword and Dragon's Crown HD are pure gems

remake is realy good. i dont realy like mechanics in sor 4. something is off .
