Skate was the fastest because he had skates and the skates made his kicks lethal.
Max and Zan were built with strength.
Cherry Hunter has... eh... Oh yes! a guitar and that gives her the advantage in... intimidation?
:Cherry Hunter: "Im gonna smash you with upside the head with my $900.00 guitar!!"
I guess she didn't like her dad's birthday gift to her or something.
I think they were very unoriginal in making Axel a fat depressed guy just like Capcom made Cody back in Alpha 3, but without prison uniform and handcuffs. They had a chance to distance his design from Cody since decades had been passed, but no, they just copied Cody again.
Overall, I don't know what to expect from this game. So far there are more stuff I dislike than like about this game.
LMBO Sounds rated R
XD
Not a fan of Cherry Hunter. The whole concept is kinda dumb. Cherry Hunter would have been OK if she had a pair of skates, and not a guitar. If this is the developer's attempt at making an original character, it's the worst character in the lineup, by far.
I mean, 10 years is a lot training time for a skater. Plus he could have grown more stronger in his legs making him faster.
10 years? Try more like 28 years.
Skate (roller blading) and Max (Wrestling) are not so culturally relevant as they were in the 90's) and how you are gonna age Skate with out basically turning him in to another Adam? that's kind of tricky.
First off, im the annoying guy that will say this..." I was not raging, it was them. I merely stated my criticism." Okay with that out of the window, time to reply.
If we are talking about characters being culturally relevant then why the blazes is she wielding a guitar like a BC caveman? XD
Also, Skate could be stronger in his legs than he is in his arms. This would give devs the opportunity to make lanky-ish and avoid the Adam clone mistake.
And over all, good point on the keeping a level head and to not assume every little thing is a political statement.
I guess people have just seen too many games get woked to death. I think that would explain the worried thoughts of these players.
Your idea for skate could work I guess. (you convinced me) :) But at the same time its understandable the dev's want to put something of their own stamp on the franchise and not just do 100% fan service, but who knows man, maybe skate and max will appear at a later date? Also with more female gamers now, it also makes sense to have more than one token female character in the sausage fest :).
The obsessive ultra PC wokeness thing will go out of fashion it isn't dying already. (surprise surprise, it turns out lecturing morality to people - then condemning them for not agreeing, doesn't actually make you popular :P ) So i wouldn't lose too much sleep over that. The right tried it and failed and now for some reason the left decided to have a go. ahh well what can you do?
Thank you good sir :D
No the reason they added Skate is incorrect. The original developers wanted a small mobile character for Part 2 and since inline skates were big at the time Skate was born. The games sprites were increased in size to compete with games like Final Fight which at the time had both a Sega CD and SNES version with huge sprites and better graphics than SoR1. The sprites in part 1 were also awfully small compared to the other games and made for less attention to detail even with an ass kicking soundtrack by Yuzo.
