Online Coop (PC/Steam)
So where in the world does everyone go to play this game with other people?

The online coop channel on the official discord is dead for weeks at a time between messages and adding people here doesn't seem to lead to any coop either. The in-game lobby system is always empty every time I try to search or join games as well.

Mostly talking Arcade and Campaign as Survival isn't really my thing. I can enjoy some Survival but I prefer to at least mostly play the former.

A lot of players modded SoR4 to allow 4-player online. I'm not sure if that interferes with matchmaking (I have a wild guess it does), so maybe that could be the reason. I haven't modded my game and been struggling to find matches too.

I only do survival the campaign is boring to me but survival is great fun :) and my game isn't modded.

Yeah I usually play solo all the time too, but I've been wanting to try playing it with others.

i still find players in in the online feature of the game. Quite amazing that 3 years later and there are still people playing.

Mackenzie, I strongly recommend you join the Official Discord. You can often find people looking for games there and should be easier for you to find matches.

Thank you for the discord invitation. Though as I said in the original post, I am on the official discord already and there are multiple weeks between messages of people looking for a multiplayer game for online coop on the PC.

If there's some trick to finding them 'often' on that discord, please share the trick with me.

Usually people just post on the #pc-squad channel in the Online Coop category. I really think that Discord should have a pingable role for recruiting for games, though.

Yeah. In that channel, there was a flurry of messages in the last week of April. A couple ignored requests, an argument over the server being dead and what looks to be one 4 player (modded) game that happened.

I plan to only play the game vanilla, and 4 players on the screen seems too chaotic to be enjoyable for me.

Sorry if it sounds like a complaint, there just doesn't appear to have been much activity there is all.

No, don't worry. I completely understand. I myself prefer co-op with just 2 players. Way less chaotic and you can coordinate combos better.

Like I said, I'm inclined to think finding matches in this game is probably harder because of 4 player mods possibly limiting the matchmaking; I assume you can't get paired with players using the mod.

I've been hoping for Dotemu to add a drop-in / drop-out system (akin to TMNT: Shredder's Revenge) but I doubt we'll get that.

Feel free to add me if you wanna play Story / Arcade someday. I live in South America, so I don't know if the latency will be too high, though.
