How do you pull off Max's lightning slam attack?

I just occasionally happen to get it by chance but I can't figure out the proper input.
Any help would be appreciated.

To pull off the lightning slam, you need to grab them from behind and do a forward throw. Alternatively, if you jump with your enemy and don't opt to throw, it'll swap their position to getting behind them.
