I'm personally of the opinion that power-ups should be shared, possibly as an option, possibly with some kind of stat reduction on them. Simply letting all players pick one - or at the very least pick from the reamining ones - would be sufficient, I think, but that's off the top of my head.
The devs didn't make a real balance, the survival is much better in 1p in therms of getting to high level.
As many new players may not now it yet, the ennemies hit much harder from lvl 37 than in earlier levels, and even lvl 36 is a joke compared to it. And in 2p it's probably very hard to get to higher levels.
And if one player dies and then resurrects the other player... than the player who resurrected the dead one should get the next powerup.
Come on, these are not hard rules to guess, it's courtesy.
I once joined a dude who kept getting all the powerups for him. At the third level in a row i quit. Greed brings nothing.
