Sorry, but you ruined the last level
This is ridiculous now. All these people talking about it being "too easy" are literally full of ♥♥♥♥. Too many big bens spawn where the ball and chain used to be. Ms Y is THE most annoying fight in the entire game now, and trying to fight both Y's solo is a huge chore. I don't see how anyone can find this fun anymore, and I have zero interest in trying to do better. This is coming from someone who finished all difficulties at launch with only Mania taking some serious effort. It is so much harder now and it's sucking the fun out of the game.

I was really looking forward to the balance update/patch...but I must admit that I play the game much less than before. SOR4 is my first SOR game I ever played and I got hooked on it really fast. Was playing with my wife almost on a daily level, but now we maybe start it up once a week.
While the last level did feel a bit too easy before patch, now it is simply ridiculously hard...

There are many ppl who finished arcade mania, and mania is way too easy. You can select a lower lvl difficulty

The fatso challenge isn't hard, it is stupidly dragging and a massive PITA. Same goes for Ms. Y and the twins fight. You spend most of the time chasing them around but their AI is still pretty damn dumb so you can still cheese them no problem.

And yes, Mania is too easy now.

I love it. I have notice the multiple Pens spawns where the Ball use to be, but I love it; more of a challenge now. Takes more skills and combos and timing to defeat them all.
There is no "skills and combos and timing" involved in taking 3+ fatties in a gauntlet where you are ganked from both sides.

Like people complained about the 3 Big Bens in Underground, but the Stage 12 Big Ben gauntlet is FAR worse, involving the ACTUAL tracking and farther traveling Ben (was always worse than the Kicking mobs) and the rolling hitbox Ben which is the hardest to touch in a group.

Now its just hope they get into a crowd so you can Star move or exploit the blind spot.

The old wrecking ball segment was fun, but they turned it into a needlessly drawn out bore.
How you feel about stage 12 now is basically how Mania in the retail build felt like. More of a chore disguised as a "challenj."

Yeah, same feelings... Can't beat last level on Mania for 2 day 'cause too many stupid faties taking 2 extralives from me. This is not a challenge. It's " artificial complexity"

To some degree yeah, but for a lot not really. Stage 7 Commissioners were a chore more than they were fun to fight against. Felt like an infinite combo was mandatory, but cheesing the game like that makes it more like a thing to get done than enjoy.

Hmm...which fatties usually kill you? The fire breathing ones, the roly polys, or the ones that leap at you? Because there are ways to avoid each and every one of them, but obviously it's tricky at first trying to avoid them all at once.

Friend and I who usually just mess around and play off-meta characters experienced the gauntlet for the first time last night after the change, needless to say neither of us were too happy about the change. I will say neither of us are "pro" gamers, just two old friends who like to enjoy the game, Hard arcade is our usual go-to but this just felt unfair as it just kept going and going. Personally I thought the game was better as it was minus a few character issues but this just feels like the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction.
