Talk about one of the worst online i've ever seen in a game with this framerate drop problem.
I love this game, I really do, but 2 players barely works. I cannot see how anyone could possibly think 4 would be a good idea.
It sounds like you think that 4 player co-op isn't a feature of this game.

not online it isn't...what's your point?
that looked like a big mess to me anyway and not something I'd want to play. And of course friendly fire had to be turned off or else it'd be unplayable.
You said " 4 player gameplay wouldn't work". Well it works and its a feature in the game. And it works Online as well as long as the online service is decent

No one plays online with Friendly Fire anyway. So my point is that 4 player co-op in this game does work and its far from "unplayable".
I really like SoR4, it's just different gameplay in a mostly good way from the original games. Although I totally understand old fans who don't like it, it's not for everyone, I'm still not a fan of the graphics style (too bright and colourful for SoR, IMO) and the music is hit and miss, but the gameplay is what won me over. Still, for an official product, this game feels like more of a fan game than SoRR, which IS a fan game.
I never even said "wouldn't work". jeeze...obviously I meant that because the freaking 2 player hardly works, for me, and many others on PC, that asking for 4 seems pointless. No idea what parsec is, but obviously not out of the box functionality
and if you still can't understand what I was saying, there are very real screen space limitations and map bottlenecks. that whole thing looks like a giant chaotic zerg with some players doing nothing in corners. it does not look like the game was designed in mind for 4 players. If I do play 2 player, I keep FF on, because it requires more skillful play.
just because you can technically do something doesn't mean it's a good idea, but to each his own?
You seem to ignore that while yes you can get online co-op of 4 players working, this is not a feature of the game, it is a feature of a third-party program Parsec that allows people to remote couch co-op. Their basic claim that 4-player online co-op is not implemented in the game itself is correct, and you're either not reading about how people are playing 4-player co-op online or trolling.
At least those who still want it regardless still have Parsec and Steam Remote Play.
