The retro soundtrack is all over the place

Come on dev ! You had music from 3 games to choose from yet you managed to screw everything

it seems like they added this option last minute without any through put into it, boss music playing in regular stage, very weird music choice, sometimes there's some music that seems to be taken straight from the Master system or game gear version, just why ? Was it that hard to use the boss theme for the boss and stick to the vastly superior genesis soundtrack ? :/

I'm not talking about the quality of the soundtrack itself, I'm talking about the option to toogle the retro soundtrack which seems to have been made with a shuffle mode and 0 effort into it

Pretty sure this and the retro sprite feature are some last moment content they added in a rush to attract old fans not into the new music and artstyle.

Yeah, it seems that the retro music chosen for this are Streets of Rage 2 for Mega Drive and Streets of Rage 1 for Game Gear. That's odd. Is there any chance to replace the Game Gear soundtrack for the Mega Drive version in the next patch or something?

The first boss battle with mr. y has this awful game gear sounding music playing and it sounds so out of place it ruins the intended purpose of the retro soundtrack, feeling the sor 2/genesis sound nostalgia. They should have just used music from SOR 1-3/genesis.

I mean I guess if you point it out like that yeah maybe it was a last minute addition. I would rather they add it in like that than not at all though for sure. I was surprised to see an option for changing the shader to be full retro style and they even managed to add in options for button icons to use PS or xbox layouts. And no delays in the release and we didn't wait forever. Sorry I cant get over how smooth this whole things has been. It seems kinda picky when the game is so awesome. Music is awesome. I got no complaints at all.

I dont like that they used master system and game gear tracks which are way worse. They shouldve just put some SOR3 tracks in there. Also, some of the choices for the stages do not make sense, like they should use elevator stage music for elevator stage but no

The original soundtrack doesn't come close to the masterpieceness of this soundtrack. Take your nostalgia goggles off and play the original if you want the original.

I don't understand why they call it retro BSO and each boss has a different song
And the Master System songs, really?
