SoR4 Music = 8/10
It sort of makes sense contextually, as the there is a riot in the police station and the music screams danger, warning, as well as the heightened stress from the backing sirens within the track.
Now that I have completed the game, music is definitely the weakest part. For once most of the professional game-reviewers was spot on regarding the music.
the streets of rage 4 soundtrack on the other hand:
- doesnt match the environment
- doesnt create any atmosphere
- isnt memorable at all
there are so many talented people that could have created a far better soundtrack. take a look at games like super meat boy, vvvvvv, undertale, binding of isaac, just to name a few. they all have tracks that match the environment, create atmosphere, and are memorable. you hear the tracks once, and you remember them for the rest of your life. the streets of rage 4 soundtrack is plain and boring.
BUT its not as good as the legendary first SOR. That one is just badass, especially the boss fight, its so tense.
