I though it was the default key layout that I could not find the run button.
Well, that's weird.
SoR2 had a slower, more methodical playstyle/speed and that's perfectly fine as well. Running isn't needed if you don't need to beat out any mob to the punch and rolling up/down isn't needed if the mobs don't immediately gang up on you from both sides.
Tho I will admit I far prefer SoR2 over 3, probably why I don't have a problem with this.
When you fight cops with shields, you have to punch then a couple of times, then awkwardly walk up or down, instead of punching them three times, rolling, and punching them again.
I guess I'll go back to Remake after beating 4.
I love Streets Of Rage, but there are so many beat'em ups out there that did things way better gameplay mechanics wise that make them more fun, like Fight N' Rage for example. Hell, just look at Streets Of Rage Remake, that is a mechanically superior and complete SoR game, but Sega were quick to shoot that one down, despite being the best thing to happen to the SoR franchise in +10 years.
That said, I'll still give SoR4 a chance. Although my expectations for it are currently low lol.
