Only thing I hate about Donovan is when he's holding a pipe lol. I've been playing Cherry on Mania and he outranges her pretty good. Also if you decide to finish her main string you get uppercut lol. But honestly, if these little challenges didn't exists within the cast of enemies the game would feel bland.
Taser cops. You have to go for a hard knock down but this will only buy you some time as the screen will generally have a lot more enemies so you're not going to be able to capitalize on him being down.
Armor Bikers. Attack is fairly easy to dodge and z axis placement gives you easy room to dodge but it's active for very long and she can travel from so far way so any mistake can lead to you eating ♥♥♥♥. It also knocks you super far away so if you're relying on drops or an HP drop then tough luck.
Goro. Really boring to fight, not safe to fight, and you have to abuse throws but gotta be careful when there's two of them since the other one can just dash punch you anyway. Just simply unfun.
Gemstone Girls. Can travel in Z axis, will do nothing but jump kicks, you're gonna get zoned out of your area so good luck if the arena has acid or holes, or of course other enemies.
Kickboxers. Usually safe to fight but in a crowd can catch you off guard and trying to approach them safely may not be an option if you're occupied elsewhere. If you're forced to engage then the kick combo can catch you off guard.
Donavan. Get anti aired lmao.
On the other hand, stage 9 was a royal pain on Mania since kickboxers were practically a wall until I had the good fortune of a great online partner..... who jump kicked the entire boss fight. If it works it works I guess.
Donovan is probably the most annoying thing in the game, bar knife-running Galsias. Catches all your weapon throws, throws his weapon if he can't reach you (usually whilst you're busy with something else) and WILL counter any air-attack you do and cancel your combos with a cheese punch out of nowhere. They're utter bar-stewards.
I believe, every other enemies have reliable ways to counter them (aside from pressing defensive special over and over again), but these 3 just ugh. Also, f those last cyber-legged dudes on the ship.
