Oh, how much I hate Germany's government.

Even Dying Light 2 has been restricted.

I'm sorry that there are such problems in Germany... I can advise you to check our shop, because we also have steam codes, mainly for such situations. The sale is over, but follow us, maybe there will be some promotions again soon :)

Paypall also starts working this week :)

Do you have the new Nympho game there?

Succubus DLCs are restricted too...

Edit:

I bought an Agony Unrated Steam key and a Nympho Steam key.

Are the games on your website uncensored or do I need to download something else?
We don't have censorship in the store, that's the point!!! :D

Succubus DLC - for now we have Tormentress and Demons of the past. ;)

*Only for Succubus you need to install the file to get censorship, you can find it here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rdbaHq7C9D01SElKOJxZgFNxn9d9sOgv?usp=sharing

Cool cool :) Good luck in other games!

I love how unhinged Succubus was... I wonder if Agony and Nympho are just as unhinged. 😆
I hope you like it. :)
Agony is the game that started it all... our whole hellish universe ;P
Nymphomaniac is... well, "naughty" is the most polite word to describe this game xd

Could you please Check the following Link, so maybe Succubus can be available again in the German Store?

@𝕷𝖎𝖑𝖞 ✧❦ : Ummm, just registered on your madmind store, couldn't find the steam keys for Tormentress & Demons of the Passt DLCs. I got me all the ones that were available back then here on steam already, but those two I missed...any pointers?

EDIT: Disregard that. Just too blind to find tree in forest I guess.

Succubus, among other candidates, will never be available in the German store if the USK agency did not give their blessing in the form of an approval.

No USK approval means no selling in Germany; hence why 99% of all "Adult-Only" games are not available in Germany.

Even Dying Light is unavailable in Germany... and the sequel is heavily censored.

And it will remain that way as long as people like Mr Dörken-Kucharz (EKD, the head organization for the German Protestant Church) and Ms. Ingrid Stapf (Deutsche Bischofskonferenz, council of all german catholic bishops) and other such concerned, conservative, christian citizens are on the permanent USK panel and the USK has as much influence as it does.
Which is sad, since people without any confession are even slightly more numerous around G than adherents of both the christian churches combined.

I believe that games like succubus, agony etc did not get approval cuz they make reference to "christian" hell. But if instead presented as some kind of far eastern or native american or even some generic hellscape without reference to lucifer and other "devils" from the bible, USK would not have given 2 sh*ts.

Found a condensed package of the relevant legal mumbo-jumbo; helps to understand why publishers avoid the risk of selling stuff that didn't get a USK rating in G. Check this link. It's from the USK website, but in english so everyone gets it.

https://usk.de/en/home/obligations-for-content-providers/

If even those two pages are too much, this is what it ultimately boils down to:

USK 18 essentially means you can only sell it publicly to adults, need to put the red stamp on the covers and (as far as I get it) the seller would need to ensure it don't get sold to minors. Like alcohol or cigarettes.

Rating Denied means it may have content that is in fact illegal in G. You can still sell it publicly, same as above. But if somebody takes offfense & alerts the authorities about it, it may be put on the "Index" without much further ado (in essence a blacklist for banned, forbidden games) and copies of it may be seized.

Now wether that is de-facto censorship or not, I'll leave open to further debate. Just keep in mind the 1st part of "Evil Dead" was on that same index for years, so how they actually decide what sh*t gets approval is a total cr*pshoot^^.

@PaulKrawitz:
Which DOOM are we talking about, the OG one or the recent one? I only played the OG version back in the day, and what was the big shocker about it then was the never-before-seen hyper-violence (like the bloody chainsaw, good times^^) from a 1st-person view, not the sex.

And yeah, it has things labeled as "demons" and maybe some vague bible reference or imagery of it's "hell" that you could call "satanic", but it has enough crazy fantasy elements too to offset that. In the DOOM-overse, if I recall correctly, hell is some other place than the biblical one. Plus, you ever hear of the "holy book" talking 'bout big-*ss beholders from Mars or a holy BFG^^?

And come to think of it, more USK crazyness from way-back-when: Wolfenstein 3D (the OG one from ~1993) was on the index until sometime in the 2000s. Just like the OG Leisure Suit Larry - yeah, the one where you still had to enter commands via keyboard. And if memory serves, even the uncut version of the 1st part of "Evil Dead" (the movie) sat on the index for a couple years after release.

@SacredSpectralghost: Only if you don't care about your account. Read the steam EULA & the link to german USK regulations I posted in here a few days ago for context. As far as I got it, in a nutshell:

On the steam side: Downloading geoblocked content via VPN is a ban-able offense. Dunno if they actually would kick someone, but according to their rules, they may.

On german law side: As the seller, steam/valve are responsible to ensure that content which did not get USK approval and hence may be illegal in G isn't sold to german citizens on their marketplace. NOT applicable to keys obtained elsewhere, however^^.

Note: The particular wording of the regulations let steam/valve off the hook legally, if the end user buys his key ANYWHERE BUT on steam. Non-steam vendors may or may not commit a crime selling keys for games that, due to lack of approval by USK, may or may not land on the "Index" (the german games/movies blacklist). Steam only hosts games/downloads & ultimately don't seem to care where the keys come from.

Steam/valve just don't wanna be put in a position where some fool might accuse them of selling indexed content in G. So they choose the nuclear option, play it safe (as per their legal team, I bet) and block ALL adult/NSFW content for german users now - again.

You cannot change your account region with VPN !
Your account region can ONLY be changed by a valid foreign bank account or credit card with a successful transaction.
As long as your account region is set to German (which stays even German no matter what VPN country you use) your steam store is blocking games in compliance to German censorship obligations.
iriemk Dec 21, 2024 @ 2:49pm
Yaa, apparently some of the more sophisticated, but paid VPN services can indeed undermine that. Or so some folks claim. I doubt the casual free VPN user can achieve it, but if somebody's a little more tech savvy than old Luddite me & has a better VPN service, they may well find some way I guess.

And just thinking, if it were NOT possible at all, why does steam EULA contain a passage dealing with precisely this issue?
