Possible sexual content/mechanics

I already said this somewhere on the agony forum somewhere but chances are the devs have not seen it so I'll say it here as well.

I'm not saying that Succubus should not have sexual content, in fact I think it should have a whole fleshed out system based on the fact that the main character is a literal incarnation of lust (and besides I think we both know the playerbase/target audience this game will attract), however alot of indie developers make a mistake that I will warn you about now so you can aviod making it. Once some indie developers start putting sexual content in their games it starts to become the main focus but with a small team that causes them to forget that the other systems are just as important and what could have been a good game with sexual mechanics becomes nothing more than an uninteresting porn game with no value beyond 5 minutes here or there. I doubt madmind is small enough for that to be a major risk but I thought I'd give the warning anyway just in case.

I hope I was helpful in some way if not, oh well, really hyped for Succubus btw.

No, Michal the lead developer confirmed that this time they can go all the way. They will however implement an optional way to censor like in the demo. You can choose to play censored or uncensored, which they do for Youtube streamers because Youtube doesn't like anything nude and female.

It's still not confirmed, but we promised to think about it. It all depends on the amount of work we will have to do, and it's still unknown on such an early stage.

To be honest, as someone who supported the game since the Un-Unrated (so the Rated? Well censored) version, played the Unrated version too, I'd love a game focusing a lot on what it entails to BE a succubus rather than just an overhaul gruesome adventure with puzzles.

A succubi can go hungry and so weaker if they do not get their feed of souls, which they can get by killing or "humping" (sometime, in some myth, the succubi can kill with just a kiss). Meaning that it could be more of a stealth approach at this point, since if you get caught, you can't defend yourself. Succubi are rumored to be able to alter their appearance too to attract victims, so maybe some Martyr could be weaponized and so dangerous in our weakened state, but with trickery we can get through.

A kind of "play how you see fit", stealth it but stay weak, or kill your way through. This could also alter the ending in the same way as the "kill X martyr" ending or "kill X babies".

There's a whole damn lot of lore and mythos to the succubi, and it'd be great for the game to focus really on that, alongside the story you have planned of course!

It isn't easy to make a game, and there will always be elements not pleasing some, other elements that people adore, and that's alright!

But please, please, PLEASE, don't let the game be JUST an hack n slash in a gruesome world, there's near infinite potential thanks to the inexplored succubi potential in video games (when there are some, its only a fraction of their power, simply a "charm" mechanic and a "is sexy", being free of censorship would allow so much exploration of them!)

Actually, succubus DO kill, they steal the soul and life energy of the mortals to death, they also rarely give birth as if they do, the child of a succubus and human is a prime vampire. They mostly kill with kiss or sex and only get pregnant if they wish to (and are in love). The succubus isn't about collecting semen and birthing demons, its about trickery and steal, bringing the worst in humans just for her pleasure to watch see a pure human do horrible things for "his one true love". A succubus love to corrupt someone into killing his best friend and else, they enjoy death and sensuality :)

i mean.. i guess we are all talking about mythical beasts.. so succubi can perhaps be whatever someone wants, or is different per mythos. i mean the lilith type of succubi cannot give birth, that was practically the whole point of lilith's curse lol
but the pre-babylonian type of succubi which are spawn of baphomet (feminine goddess of "evil" or darkness/beyond-ness) will inhabit the bodies of young women and coerce men into physical contact. to either kill the male's mortal vessel, or to take command over them as slaves.
