Why the translation is so altered?

I can understand changing some obscure references but altering character names?
I have switch version but I doubt that the translaion is different.
Audio: Hikari
Subs: Aurora

Audio: Madoka
Subs: Bubbles

Audio: Ruru
Subs: Lulu


All honorifics are stripped out.

This is a joke or something??

I'm instantly loosing my willingness to read more when I see something like this. I though that only Nintendo first party games are still translated by brainless translators like this.
At least give the translation job to people that are passionate about games like this instead choosing literal idiots that are into creating cognitive dissonance and ruining games.
At this point probably deepl would be better than this.

The game is made by Taiwanese. Why the hell would they have honorifics?

Because the voice acting is Japanese and only Japanese. If they made Taiwanese VA, I'd use it because I'm always using the original one.
Anyway, name changes are way worse than this.
