Helmet cam

Seems really good in this game, yet all the videos i see on youtube people use third person. Maybe its a little easier, but its so much more immersive and a greater sense of speed in helmet cam I cant bring myself to use anything else. Anyone else?

I won't choose the helmet view now. It's not very useful and needs a lot of improvement.

Yeah I've gone from 3rd person to onboard to helmet cam since starting this game. First bike I really like it and much more immersive once you get used to it.

I play onboard only, turn everything on HUD to off and try to race as close to real life as possible.

Its sad that people dont want to try to play with helmet cam which in this game is very nice. Unfortunately its slower, mainly because you dont see the whole turn, and not always hit the apex right. The more blind turns are (when you dont see the exit) the bigger differences are but mainly its around 2-4 seconds.

Unfortunately there is only small group of people playing with helmet cam and because of that Milestone dont care much about making this mode more immersive. You are forced to use hud overlay (which distracts me and I hate it) because otherwise you dont know whats going on during the race.

i use helmet cam all the time. even in the other titles i use the cockpiit sight.
External sight is"meh"
dont know why not more people use cockpit or helmet sights.
Maybe they want it the easy way oo

The problem with helmet cam is the wide angle FOV. Good for creating the sense of speed but very bad for judging turn in and braking. For some unknown reason Milestone refuses to implement any FOV adjustment in their games.

Chase view is such trash, can’t believe people use it. Probably the same ones who tell me that me using a steering wheel and pedals is unrealistic

So in general if you want to race online and have some competitive battles you must play chase cam.
Otherwise you just ride at the back hoping that someone will crash :-(

I always say that ppl should play the game the way they want. Its the developers job to provide us the options for most enjoyable game experience.
