How to move ships?
I have two frigates, a colony ship and an outpost ship on my zoomed out Sol system map. How do I select some of these ships and move them to another system? When I click on the fleet symbol - nothing happens. Do I need to use a hot key? Where is the fleet management button? Thanks.

You can click on the small shield icon next to the Sol system on the galaxy map. It will pull up the fleet. At that point you can click on one of the ships in the fleet and then click on another star to issue a movement order. You can then repeat those steps to send your other frigate somewhere else.

I do not recommend sending the colony ship out to "explore". If it encounters a space monster on its own, it will be instantly destroyed.

Alternatively, there is also a fleet management button in the overview panel on the left side. If you click on the button furthest to the right in that overview panel, it will show you a list of all your ships and you click on one of them. The button just to the left of that one will show you all your fleets and you can click on one of those as well.

Even though this was explained in the tutorial, it wasn't very intuitive.

Once you get it down, the fleet movement system works very well. Click on the shield icon, select the ships you want to move (unless you want to move all of them), click on your destination, and you're done. If you change your mind and want to, say, leave a frigate behind, it's easy. Simply click on the fleet icon (no longer a shield now that the ships are moving), select the frigate, and then click back on the system. You'll be doing it like a pro in no time.

I also like how it's smart the game is about moving ships. For example if you move a large fleet from a forge planet, it automatically does not select a support ship which you almost always want to stay behind. You can send the default ships, which are lightly outlined, or manually select the specific ships you want to move.
