Report a translation problem
I do not recommend sending the colony ship out to "explore". If it encounters a space monster on its own, it will be instantly destroyed.
Alternatively, there is also a fleet management button in the overview panel on the left side. If you click on the button furthest to the right in that overview panel, it will show you a list of all your ships and you click on one of them. The button just to the left of that one will show you all your fleets and you can click on one of those as well.
I also like how it's smart the game is about moving ships. For example if you move a large fleet from a forge planet, it automatically does not select a support ship which you almost always want to stay behind. You can send the default ships, which are lightly outlined, or manually select the specific ships you want to move.
