Hard Reset

Can I use a Trainer?
Situation:
Insane difficulty - At the beginning of Exile DLC - 9% of life and 100 ammo - Mision where I have to disable 2 generators with their hordes of robots to destroy me. I can not get to survive! With one or two hit kill me, really is frustrating. Would there be any problems using a trainer for this game?

Thanks!

no VAC in the game so no problems outside of any guilt you may feel later on or the diminished sense of accomplishment :p

Yeah unfortunately that is part of the genre of this particular game. For many it's just not a "good" game unless you die 30 times in the same spot until you finally get it. For me I get very frustrated as well so I keep it no more difficult than Hard (and even then it can be a chore sometimes)

I had to do it :( I've never used a trick in any game but this made me do it because, for me it was impossible. I beat that stage with the Trainer but I'll try not use it anymore to no increase the feeling of guilt :D

I'd go for it. I likes most games on hard, but this one's just needlessly and relentlessly ♥♥♥♥♥, even on just Hard. Every 2 mins you're locked into a sodding room with nowhere to go and expected to fight 2 or more hulking, charging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whilst others snipe you, with hardly any health and ammo that constantly runs out. Half the time I'm dead without even seeing what hit me and what doesn't shoot you just charges straight at you, taking 1/3 of your HP whilst you have no keep-away abilities whatsoever once the environment is destroyed, so yeah...annoying.

Damn shame, because it looks spectacular, but just too frustrating to be fun. Really, really wanted to like it, instead I just uninstalled it.

I would just restart the mission if I got myself into that terrible of a situation.
I assume you have completed the game already to get a bunch of upgrades? I started my Insane playthrough with a full set of upgrades. This made the playthrough significantly easier as I had the tools to handle every situation, such as using the stasis fields et all to hold them in place (whatever they were called as it was like 1.5 years ago now). Its really a matter of prioritisation as well, using a shotty to take out the chickens and usually a homing rockets for gorillas' Its very doable, just a heap of CC and circle strafing :)

I'm sure some Hard Reset cards would help as well... :tradingcard:

screw trainers, there's a mod project available that gives you a bunch of new abilities.
Check it out (go find it).

Oh no not at all, you can carry over all of your unlocks into higher difficulty levels, not a problem. Just remember to read the "rules" on doing this so you get your achievements...
