controller ?

I love this game, but I'm getting really frustrated with stage 8. I've tried every type of weapon upgrade and stayed low to the ground but there are so many jets and helicopters everywhere that really mess me up. Does anyone know how to get through this stage? I'm eager to play the rest of the game, but I may have to give up if I can't get past this one. On a related note to the Dev, I know it's been a while since you released this game, but would you ever consider adding an unlimited lives option for ...
