I do not compare Foundry to any other game. For example, while Factorio is among my most favorite games of all time, i have no expectations for Foundry to mimic the complexity or anything else. Riftbreaker and Autoforge are examples of games with automation and factory building that carved out their own unique style and the fully adaptable environment of Foundry inspires me to build stuff, so i'd be looking forward in more of that.
An enemy to deal with always gives you a change of pace and a distraction while you are pursuing your game goals. Maybe certain ores one can discover awaken something under the earth one has to deal with before you can harvest them and maybe they come out at night to go after the one who stole their ore? Maybe the planet we're stranded on had a lost civilization that left ruins for us to explore in a dungeon context?
With the right optimization of the game, the potential is endless and just depends on the game design vision and direction and the guts of the developers to stick to it and refine it.
Carve out your own style.
Oh and please loose the silly launcher ...
I was clever enough to skip Techtonica and Automation Empire but for this I fell.
Too late to refund now :-/
Do not listen to the guys above.
Do not take your time.
Deliver.
And skip trains and water please, your usp could be that awesome space station.
Use it to create plateaus; you do not even need science you just put in there because other games have them.
To the Techtonica whiners: Stop whining!
It is still early acces. It's still in development. They ask. They listen. They improve. What are you guys expecting in early acces state?
Foundry can't be like factorio which is already in 2.0 and after it's own years of early acces. Why are so many ppl here so unfair and toxic.
And why are ppl complaining about Paradox? This is just the publisher and not the dev team and yeah I know the paradox luncher, everyone hates launchers because of reasons I guess. But at least you can manage your mods there in every paradox game so it has a point.
For real. Let the devs do their fantastic and great work. Have some patience and give constructive critic and stop whining and complaining and taint good things with toxicity.
At the devs. Your game is already great and I am looking forward to see your next update next year.
I love this Game really but since August there is nothing happening....also they wanted to show us the new Powerplant on a Picture weeks ago, another Thing that never happend...
Yeah the game is totally dead, isn't it?
🙄
