Takes time to develop a game. They don't have a neural interface that projects their thoughts into code and generate patch after patch and update after update on the spot to satisfy your whiny @ss. They're doing an amazing job and have thus far produced a great game. Only thing dead are your brain cells. Oh this is still EA right....wutdatmean..?..?!

I prefer to be disappointed by a delay than disappointed by the content so respect for that! Its gonna be great

Cool, take your time.

I do not compare Foundry to any other game. For example, while Factorio is among my most favorite games of all time, i have no expectations for Foundry to mimic the complexity or anything else. Riftbreaker and Autoforge are examples of games with automation and factory building that carved out their own unique style and the fully adaptable environment of Foundry inspires me to build stuff, so i'd be looking forward in more of that.

An enemy to deal with always gives you a change of pace and a distraction while you are pursuing your game goals. Maybe certain ores one can discover awaken something under the earth one has to deal with before you can harvest them and maybe they come out at night to go after the one who stole their ore? Maybe the planet we're stranded on had a lost civilization that left ruins for us to explore in a dungeon context?
With the right optimization of the game, the potential is endless and just depends on the game design vision and direction and the guts of the developers to stick to it and refine it.

Carve out your own style.

Oh and please loose the silly launcher ...

I think this is a great idea. Take your time. I love the game already even if there are a lot of thing which were nice to have in the future. Don't give up and let negative comments kill your motivation. Foundry has the potential to be one of the best factory games in the future.

Why did I even buy this.
I was clever enough to skip Techtonica and Automation Empire but for this I fell.
Too late to refund now :-/

Do not listen to the guys above.
Do not take your time.
Deliver.
And skip trains and water please, your usp could be that awesome space station.
Use it to create plateaus; you do not even need science you just put in there because other games have them.

No problem. My holiday is already packed by FISCMAS and factorio (hopefully there'll be a winter sale), Definitely looking forward to what Foundry brings next year!

Want us to scale up and not providing the neccessary tools to do it (i.e. Blueprints). Guess I've to wait ... maybe in 2030, they'll implement it with update 69 or so ...

To the Techtonica whiners: Stop whining!
PanMianDa Nov 30, 2024 @ 12:18am
Yeah, tiny studios release updates weekly or at least monthly. Paradox needs 3 months of talking to do anything. I'm beggining to regret throwing my money away on this game.

Honestly I hope the devs don't listen to all that negativity here. It was a smart move to ask the players via a poll to get a better picture of what players want. They were absolutely transparent and inform us what we could expect and what they plan for the future.

It is still early acces. It's still in development. They ask. They listen. They improve. What are you guys expecting in early acces state?

Foundry can't be like factorio which is already in 2.0 and after it's own years of early acces. Why are so many ppl here so unfair and toxic.

And why are ppl complaining about Paradox? This is just the publisher and not the dev team and yeah I know the paradox luncher, everyone hates launchers because of reasons I guess. But at least you can manage your mods there in every paradox game so it has a point.

For real. Let the devs do their fantastic and great work. Have some patience and give constructive critic and stop whining and complaining and taint good things with toxicity.

At the devs. Your game is already great and I am looking forward to see your next update next year.

No rush, but be aware, that games that fail to update at least from time to time end up forgotten. People eventually uninstall, stop getting notifications of updates etc. Prime example - Techtonica.

The game released into early access in may and apart from a small wire update there has been nothing for months now, only announcements. I'm starting to regret this purchase too. The game has a lot of potential though

I understand what many are saying, look at Valheim, game launched, and updates are next to none or far between. I 100% gave up on that game.
